Shiloh Fernandez & ‘Skateland’ Producer Talk Ashley Greene & ‘Skateland’ To Scene Magazine!

March 19, 2011

In the March/April issue of Scene Magazine, Ashley Greene’s ‘Skateland’ co-star, Shiloh Fernandez, chatted about working on the film, working with Ashley and more! Director and producer Anthony Burns also talked to the Mag’ and gave ‘Skateland’ casting details. The same people who cast for Twilight also worked with ‘Skateland.’

Anthony Burns on casting Ashley Greene:

“Trish Wood, Jennifer Smith and Deborah Aquila cast our film. They had just done Twilight so they had young talent like Shiloh, who was second choice for the lead in Twilight, and Ashley Greene in mind when we walked in. Great casting agents do that for you.”

Shiloh Fernandez on Ashley Greene’s Talent:

“She’s really gonna open people’s minds to what she can do. She was fantastic. I actually took a lot from her in terms of her ease, her calmness and letting things kind of come and really feeling things,” he says of his co-star. “It was a really good lesson for me to learn, ’cause I feel like sometimes I maybe do too much or I’m thinking too much. She was just so hyperaware and and settled that it reads. She gave a fantastic nuanced performance. Plus she’s an awesome, awesome girl and it was great to have her as a friend there.”
