Peter Facinelli is a real renaissance man! He’s produced, written and starred in his new film, ‘Loosies.’ We’ve posted some great stills here and a trailer here! And now we have some good news about the film: it has been picked up by IFC for domestic distribution and will be in theaters this December. Keep your fingers crossed that it comes to your city!
IFC is picking up U.S. rights to drama “Loosies,” starring Peter Facinelli (“Twilight”) and Jaimie Alexander (“Thor”), and plans a December release.”Loosies,” shot last summer, centers on a successful pickpocket in New York City who roams the city disguised as a stockbroker — until confronted with a recent one-night stand who tells him she’s pregnant with his child. Facinelli penned the script five years ago as an homage to New York, with the ideas coming to him as he walked the streets.
Bobby (Peter Facinelli), a NYC pickpocket who roams the city disguised as a stockbroker, tempts fate with the long arm of the law by lifting the badge of a New York City Detective (Michael Madsen) much to the annoyance of his viciously manipulative fence (Vincent Gallo). While playing this dangerous game of cat and mouse, Bobby runs into an even bigger challenge… a recent one-night stand named Lucy (Jaimie Alexander). Three months after their passionate affair Bobby must face reality when Lucy informs him she is pregnant. Suddenly two different worlds collide, forcing Bobby to have to reevaluate a lifetime of missteps. In a city where he once got by being invisible, Bobby is now very much exposed and hunted by the police.
