Calling all Twilight Fans
Twilight Marathon Screening at Empire presents BIG SCREEN – The live movie event of the year!
Hard core Twilight fans will have the opportunity to see the Twilight trilogy during a special marathon movie screening at the UK’s largest live movie event of the year, Empire presents BIG SCREEN
BIG SCREEN has just announced that this Twilight marathon will be at the movie extravaganza on Sunday 14th August. At the special screening fans will have the chance to see Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse back on the BIG SCREEN, altogether, where they belong! And that’s not all, there’s potentially even more announcements to be made on this in the run up to the event!
The special screening is only one of over 250 events happening at The O2 over the weekend but will be unmissable for any Twilight fan! Below I’ve included some more info on BIG SCREEN:
Empire presents BIG SCREEN is a fantastic new live movie event at The O2 in London which is on for 3 days from the 12-14th August. This must-see new film event will allow visitors to get up close and personal with the hugely exciting movie world, giving behind-the-scenes access to a diverse range of movies, directors and A-list stars.
On offer will be exclusive early footage of forthcoming blockbusters, world-first full length movie previews, film premieres, Q&A’s with actors and directors, exciting live entertainment in the Live Special FX Arena, movie masterclasses with industry legends, a showcase of the latest technology and home entertainment systems, autographs and original props, costumes and memorabilia.
The event will have something for all movie fans young and old, catering for all tastes and interests. All the major studios are on board and are involved over the weekend including Disney, Warner Brothers, Paramount, Sony, Universal, Pixar and Momentum.
Tickets for the event are on sale NOW at empirebigscreen.com. Make sure you book a Sunday ticket for this very special Twilight Marathon.
Book your tickets before Friday (tomorrow!) for your best chance to get a seat! The schedule will go live at Midday this Friday so make sure you are ready at your computer to book into the Twilight Marathon before anyone else!

New Interview: Melissa Rosenberg on New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn’s Potential MPAA Rating
Film.com has an exclusive new interview with Twilight Saga screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg where she talks about Breaking Dawn, the Twilight Saga Directors and so much more. Here’s an excerpt:
Laremy Legel: When I talked to you for Twilight you were just dipping your toes into the fandom, and what it was all about. Do you check fan sites these days?
Melissa Rosenberg: I stay off the Internet, because I’m very sensitive to commentary. There could be 10 comments of “Fabulous job!” and one “She’s horrible!” and it completely throws me. When you’re writing you’re constantly fighting demons to sit down and do what you do. If you listen to the voices outside your head, in addition to the ones inside your head, you’ll never get anything done. There’s enough inner strife.
I do, however, maintain a fan site, where people are mostly kind. It’s interesting reading their comments, because they talk about what’s important to them, what things really register, what things I need to capture. So I do rely on that.
LL: I think your writing has amazing range; from Dexter to Twilight is a pretty big distance. But do you worry about being locked into a particular genre? Do screenwriters get typecast? Or does that not happen?
MR: Oh, it happens all the time. You become the “teen voice” writer. Studios, because they are investing a great deal of money in movies, they want a guarantee that when they hire somebody that person can deliver for them. Everything is fear based, so they pigeonhole people. But I’ve written everything, from Westerns to sci-fi to dramedy, I’ve done it all. I have my strengths and my weaknesses, and the things I prefer not to do, but like most writers I can do, and like to do, a variety of things.
I’m sure I’ll be offered all sorts of romantic teen dramas as I move forward, because I’ve now written plenty of them, and I won’t be doing that again. It’s not of interest me. I do lean more towards doing different kinds of things.
