Vampire Diaries Ian Somerhalder credits Twilight for his job!
Here is a new interview with the insanely gorgeous Ian Somerhalder (Damon on Vampire Diaries) that he did with Rolling Stone. At about 3:42 of this video he completely credits Twilight for having his job on the hit show ‘Vampire Diaries.’ I have recently developed a HUGE crush on Damon – he is undeniably beautiful… to say the least.

Paul Wesley, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder of The Vampire Diaries scored the cover of the upcoming February Nylon Magazine.Inside they talk about how their series follows in Twiligh’s footsteps:
- Paul on the success of the show: “Do I think the show would be successful as it is, if it weren’t for Twilight? No.”
- Nina on the similarities with Twilight and True Blood: “When the show first started. . . you automatically thought Twilight. But once you continue, there’s a whole other side of it that goes a lot deeper. . . It’s about letting everyone know that we’re different but we all respect each other.”
I love how Paul is to the point with a simple “No.” lol.

Just got my new November issue of Teen Vogue – and inside there is a small interview with The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley where he talks about hanging out with the Twilight cast in Vancouver. Here is some of what Paul had to say:
On The Twilight Cast:
“The cast was staying at our hotel-we saw them everywhere and hung out all the time. They’re actually really nice people.”
On Twilight & Vampire Diaries Comparisons:
“They have vampires and high school romance in common, but that’s about it.”
On Making Sure Twilight Didn’t Influence His Character:
“The minute I was cast, I plowed through all the books.” And he made a point of not reading or watching Twilight. “I didn’t want to be influenced by it at all.”
It’s cool to hear that they’ve actually hung out and get along.
